Solange Knowles breaks the internet with dazzling photos from her all-white wedding ceremony, lensed by Rog Walker. After five years of dating, the singer, 28, wed video director Alan Ferguson, 51, Sunday in New Orleans.
Following, Vogue unveiled a handful of images from the wedding, which quickly dominated social media.
On Monday, we got to hear a few words directly from Solange regarding the wedding, as she took to Instagram, writing:
“Yesterday, I had the best day of my life and ended it with an abundance of peace, love over flowing through me like never before. Words only understate the feelings I experienced , but I want to thank you for all of your beautiful sentiments. I’m now one, with the one.”
Here’s a quick rundown of the elusive soirée:
Alan and Solange, donning a cream Stéphane Rolland jumpsuit, arrived to the wedding on white bicycles.
A wardrobe change revealed a gown designed Humberto Leon for Kenzo.
An all-female wedding party included Solange’s sister Beyoncé, mother Tina, cousin Angie Beyincé, Janelle Monáe, Armina Mussa, Melina Matsoukas and Darlene and Lizzy Okpo.
A symphonic instrumental of Donny Hathaway’s “I Love the Lord, He Heard My Cry” played as Solange walked down the aisle. Questlove later served as DJ and there was a dance competition between Solange and 10-year-old son Julez.
After the ceremony, Solange and Alan hit the streets of New Orleans, followed by their guests and a band.
