It has been announced that pop songstress Jennifer Lopez joins the lineup for the inaugural The Sound of Change Live concert, which Beyoncé will headline in London on Saturday, June 1.
The event is being put on by Chime for Change, Gucci’s joint charity organization founded by Beyoncé, Frida Giannini and Salma Hayek, and will be broadcast globally from the Twickenham Stadium.
Beyoncé will perform a 45-minute set at the concert while Ellie Goulding, Florence + the Mahchine, Haim, Iggy Azalea, John Legend, Laura Pausini, Rita Ora, Timbaland, and Jennifer Lopez share the stage with shorter sets throughout the evening.
In related news, on May 16th Lopez will perform her new single “Live it Up” on the finale episode of American Idol. The show’s two-night finale will begin the day before as the remaining two contestants vie for the season 12 crown. “Live it Up” will be released on May 8th.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé has been making quite a splash throughout Europe as she sings and dances her way through the sold out The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour. Reviews for the show have been nothing short of stellar.
