New Music: Solange – ‘Lovers in the Parking Lot’

The ever-eclectic Solange Knowles has released a new tune titled, “Lovers in the Parking Lot” from her ‘True’ EP due on November 27th.

Produced by Devonté Hynes, “Lovers” is a bit more upbeat than the EP’s lead single, “Losing You”. Solo sings, “I played around with your heart/ Now I’m playing around in the dark,” as her precise harmonies and smooth falsetto intertwine with the sly beat.

As always, I’m impressed with this new record by Solange. She is one artist who doesn’t allow herself to be defined, and doesn’t follow trends just to fit in.
